UNM again joins colleges and universities across the country to recognize the student workforce during National Student Employment Week, April 7 - 13. According to the National Student Employment Association, campus jobs provide career-enhancing opportunities to better prepare students for the world of work upon graduation.

Students employed through the Student Employment Office are eligible to be nominated for the annual Student Employee of the Year award and to participate in the National Student Employment Week festivities sponsored by UNM's Graduation Task Force Student Engagement Committee.

Students will be judged on quality of work, initiative, reliability, and professionalism, uniqueness of contribution, community and campus service. Nominations are due for the UNM Student Employee of the Year award by Friday, Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. Submit nominations by email to ldelgado@unm.edu.

Employers are encouraged to recognize and celebrate the contributions of UNM's student workforce in a variety of ways including the week's festivities.

On Tuesday, April 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Graduation Task Force will again sponsor the Student Employee Week Carnival in the SUB Atrium. Committee members will provide refreshments and entertainment for student employees and their employers.
