During Welcome Back Days, students have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of working on campus and different student jobs that are currently available on campus at the Student Job Fair on Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UNM Duck Pond.
While all available student employment opportunities are posted to UNMJobs, this student job fair gives students the opportunity to ask departments directly what employment opportunities they have and what they are looking for in a student employee.
Students are able to be employed via work-study or student employment. Work-study is a need-based financial aid program subsidized by the state and federal governments. To qualify for work-study, students need to apply for financial aid. Students who do not qualify for work-study may be employed through Student Employment Program.
To advertise available student jobs at the job fair, departments are asked to register via Handshake. Registration is free for UNM departments and work-study employers.
