The Anderson School of Management has announced its 2020 Hall of Fame and Young Alumni Honorees. The Anderson Hall of Fame celebrates extraordinary alumni who have achieved professional success and have made significant contributions to their community.
The 31st Annual Hall of Fame Honorees are:
- John Chavez, Sandia Peak Ski Company
- Alicia Gutierrez, Moses, Dunn, Farmer, & Tuthill, P.C.
- Stephen Harper, the University of North Carolina - Wilmington
- David Jessen, the University of North Carolina – Wilmington
Nyika Allen, City of Albuquerque and Darrell Garcia, Hayes Middle School are the 2020 Young Alumni Award recipients, an honor recognizing Anderson graduates under the age of 40 who are impacting their communities and are making great strides in their professional careers.
Interim Dean Shawn Berman says the Anderson School is honored to celebrate the 2020 Hall of Fame honorees.
“We are extremely proud of the 31st class of inductees. Each one shows what can be accomplished with hard work, determination, and the tools provided through a quality business education. They truly shine within the business community and are actively leading the way for generations to come.”
Hall of Fame candidates are selected for their professional success, contribution to the community, and their ongoing commitment to education.
The 31st Annual Hall of Fame event is Thursday, March 12, at Embassy Suites. The banquet will include a video presentation spotlighting the honorees and a live auction with all the proceeds going to support scholarships at the Anderson School. Last year, the event contributed nearly $200,000 toward student scholarships.
