The Anderson School of Management and the International Studies Institute at The University of New Mexico hosts “Expeditionary Economics and the Taliban,” a moderated discussion Thursday, Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. in the McKinnon Center for Management, Room 1120, on UNM's main campus.

Guest speaker Zafar Yousafzai will discuss the current state of relations with Afghanistan and the global political economy.

Yousafzai is an international expert on the Taliban and author of “The Troubled Triangle: US-Pakistan Relations under the Taliban’s Shadow.”

The talk is moderated by Manuel Montoya, associate professor of global structures and international management, and responding will be Ian Stewart, International Studies Institute interim director, Lucio Lanucara, lecturer of ethical management, and Murtazah Shah, international studies and philosophy student.
