The University of New Mexico is taking several safety precautions to help combat the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus.

Academic courses are transitioning to remote instruction to the fullest extent possible. Look for direct communication from faculty instructors on how individual courses are being transitioned.

Remote instruction will continue through the end of the term on May 16.

Accessibility Resource Center
ARC staff is working remotely Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Accommodations specialist are available remotely through email, Zoom and telephone.  Signed language interpreters are working as needed and preparing for online classes.

Lobo Food Pantry
The Lobo Food Pantry is ONLY hosting drive-up or walk-up services for students.

Drive-up and walk-up services are being offered every Monday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Students can pick up pre-made bags or boxes of groceries at the loading dock on the Northeast corner of the Student Advising and Enrichment Center (the same building where the campus pantry is housed).

Parking & Transportation Services
PATS is making temporary changes in its business, parking, shuttle and enforcement operations. These changes are expected to remain in effect until the University returns to normal business Monday, April 6. As this is a very fluid situation, please be sure to check PATS website.

PATS office is closed for in-person services through Sunday, April 5. Online services like managing your parking account and appealing a citation are available.

Planning, Design & Construction
Effective Tuesday, March 17, UNM Planning, Design & Construction project management staff will begin working remotely on key projects to ensure they stay on track to the greatest extent possible.  Please note that the direction is highly dependent upon our external consultants and contractors.

University Libraries
Libraries are open but building access is restricted to employees through April 5. 

Zimmerman Library, Centennial Science and Engineering Library, the Fine Arts and Design Library and the Parish Memorial Library buildings are closed to the public until April 5. Many services online are still available online.

UNM Bookstores
UNM's Bookstore is open March 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All transactions will take place from the customer service windows in the lobby. The Bookstore will close its doors to the public beginning Wednesday, March 25.

UNM's Medical Legal Bookstore is closed until further notice. All departmental purchases should be directed to the main campus store at this time.

Online web orders placed during this time will be processed and shipped daily.
