Gina Urias-Sandoval was recently named executive director of the Executive and Professional Education Center at the Anderson School of Management.

The Executive & Professional Education Center (EPEC) houses two MBA programs, non-credit professional development programs, and customized programming for businesses. The Center connects exceptional students, renowned faculty, accomplished alumni, prominent business partners, and dedicated staff to provide high-quality educational resources to New Mexico's business community.

While serving as the interim director of EPEC, Urias-Sandoval also served as the program director of the Executive MBA Program and MBA in Education Leadership Program at the Anderson School of Management. She is an alumna of The University of New Mexico, where she obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.

“Gina has worked incredibly hard in the interim role since Jan. 2019 and I am thrilled about this appointment,” said Shawn Berman, former interim ASM dean. “She brings incredible institutional knowledge and a deep commitment to the students in EPEC programs to the job. I am excited to watch how EPEC will evolve under her leadership.”

“Gina Urias-Sandoval is the epitome of a leader and I look forward to working with her on the many new and exciting programs and initiatives housed within EPEC,” said Associate Dean Kathryn Jacobson.

Urias-Sandoval also serves on the University’s Staff Council as well as campus-wide committees. She has over 25 years of administrative experience working in non-profit, government and university settings, and has worked at UNM for over 20 years. Additionally, Urias-Sandoval has extensive experience working on student-centered programs, community programs and research.

The appointment comes after Urias-Sandoval served as interim executive director since January 2019.
