In case of an emergency, dial 911 from your phone or one of the many blue light emergency phones on campus. Familiarize yourself with the locations of exits and emergency blue light phones in all the places you frequent on campus.

After dark, stay on lit paths intended for pedestrian traffic and avoid shortcuts that are not well-traveled any time of day or night. Save your earbuds for home and the gym so they do not distract you while you’re out and about. Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Firearms are not allowed on campus. If you see a firearm or other dangerous weapon prohibited by UNM’s Weapons Policy, report it immediately to UNMPD at 505-277-2241.

Program UNMPD’s number into your phone: 505-277-2241 to report any suspicious activity on campus at the touch of a button.
