This Tuesday, March 28 student Veterans and active members of the military and their supporters are encouraged to participate in the Student Veterans Sound-Off Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in UNM’s Student Union Building (SUB) Ballrooms A, B and C.
UNM has a thriving military and Veteran (M&V) community made-up of UNM ROTC units, Student Veterans of UNM, Veteran Resource Center and Women Student Veterans of UNM. Tuesday’s event highlights the common goal of these departments and organizations—to advocate on behalf of thousands of M&V Lobos.
Sponsored by the Student Veterans of UNM, the event celebrates the positive contributions and presence of student veterans on campus. It is a day meant to give every Veteran an opportunity to show pride in their service and university.
All Veterans in the Central New Mexico area have been invited to join as well.
Representatives from some of the departments within the Veteran services community, such as the New Mexico Department of Veteran Services and various other UNM departments will be on hand to assist all Veterans with any questions they may have about their benefits and the M&V community on campus.
For more information, visit the Veterans Resource Center website or contact Eliberto Calderon, president of the Student Veterans of UNM Association at Budha14@unm.edu.
