The University of New Mexico College of Fine Arts hosts its annual ArtsUnexpected event all day on Friday, April 22 at various locations on campus. A schedule of events can to found at ArtsUnexpected.

This pop-up showcase features student artists including filmmakers, dancers, thespians, visual artists and musicians of every variety performing and showcasing their works of art throughout campus.

“ArtsUnexpected has become a tradition for our college,” said Harris Smith, Dean of the College of Fine Arts. "For the past two years we have been unable to host this specular event because of the COVID-19 restrictions. I’m excited to announce that this year we are hosting this event. I look forward to seeing our amazing students' pop-up exhibits, performances and truly unexpected art making events all around campus.”

Once again, a serendipitous special treat this year, is that there will be one full-length College of Fine Arts student production on campus in the “X” Theatre the evening of April 22 for visitors to top off their artful day:   

               “Last Dream” A Devised Play by Alejandro Tomás Rodriguez
