Applications for The Associated Students of the University of New Mexico’s Emerging Lobo Leaders are now open to undergraduate freshmen and sophomores and will close Monday, Jan. 27.

Emerging Leaders

Emerging Lobo Leaders is an organization within ASUNM designed to help undergraduate freshmen and sophomores kickstart their involvement in student government. ELL creates a semester long curriculum that shows students a crash course of all the different aspects of ASUNM and resume building to prepare students for student jobs later on within the organization.

Throughout the semester long program, students will learn about ASUNM’s eight student service agencies, ASUNM’s Senate, ASUNM’s President’s Office and UNM’s different resource centers. Students are also paired in a mentorship program with current ASUNM position holders. These mentors take students through a day in the life in ASUNM and help tackling the UNM campus in general. The program is designed to train students to take on positions in ASUNM in the near future.

Applications are available at Emerging Lobo Leaders. Applications are due in the ASUNM Office in the Student Union Building room 1016 on Jan. 27 by 5 p.m. Following applications, students will be scheduled for interviews into the program.
