UNM Provost Chaouki Abdallah has announced a change in leadership at the School of Engineering to take the school in a different direction. As of Friday, Feb. 21, Catalin Roman will no longer serve as dean and will assume his role at UNM as tenured professor of computer science. All programs with which Roman has been affiliated will continue as planned. An interim dean will be appointed after Abdallah consults with department chairs, center directors and senior faculty.
