The University of New Mexico’s Cinematic Arts Department hosts its end of semester student showcase, featuring student work completed in Interdisciplinary Film & Digital Media (IFDM) and Media Arts classes during the Spring 2018 semester.

The showcase is Monday, May 7 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The building is located at the Aperture Center at Mesa del Sol (next to Albuquerque Studios). Th event is free and open to the public. 

This open-format showcase will feature work produced by Cinematic Arts students as part of their coursework in a variety of new and emerging technologies. Visual Effects, Animation, Film, Game Development, Interactive and Digital Design, Screenwriting, Photography, Trans Media and Digital Media Ethics, Film History and Criticism will be represented. Students from every IFDM and Media Arts class will be on hand to discuss their projects and areas of study.

Established in 2007, the Department of Cinematic Arts offers a B.A. in Media Arts and various degrees in IFDM. This integrated interdisciplinary academic and research program is designed to give faculty and students the necessary critical, creative and technical skills to apply digital technologies in innovative and productive ways.
