The New Mexico Public Health Association and the NM CARES Health Disparities Center 2014 Joint Conference, Making Health Happen: Power, Participation & Policy in New Mexico, takes place Monday, March 31 through Wednesday, April 2 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Spa in Albuquerque. The conference focuses on policies and programs to reduce health disparities. Presenters will focus on the role social determinants of health, social and economic justice, equity in education and other topics of interest.
The joint conference brings together the New Mexico Public Health Association (NMPHA) and the New Mexico Center for the Advancement of Research, Engagement and Science on Health Disparities (NM CARES). The purpose of the conference is to bring together disparities researchers, health service providers, public health practitioners and community members from across the country and across the state to share strategies and solutions to build on our collective efforts to decrease health disparities and increase health equity in New Mexico.
