University of New Mexico student Amy Beth Cresap is the recipient of the Department of Linguistics Signed Language Interpreting Program's 2012 Phyllis Perrin Wilcox endowed scholarship. This annual scholarship recognizes a student who demonstrates academic excellence, exceptional personal integrity, and the potential to excel in signed language interpreting.
A member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Cresap, a junior, has maintained a 3.8 GPA in her dual majors of Signed Language Interpreting and Portuguese.
