The film depicts the brutal challenges and contradictions faced by immigrants attempting to make a living and create a life for themselves and their families in New York City.
Discussion following the film will be facilitated by Janet Page-Reeves, assistant professor and UNM Prevention Research Center staff member. Discussion will focus on understanding the perspectives that emerge from the characters of the film and how they can be used to more effectively work with diverse communities.
