The University of New Mexico Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) is alerting visitors to possible heavy traffic on main campus during the run of “Wicked” at Popejoy Hall from Sept. 17 – Oct. 5.
All “Wicked” attendees will be directed to park in either G Lot or one of the two visitor parking structures on campus. Expect increased traffic around these areas up to two hours before and one hour after show times.
If you are attending “Wicked,” be sure to arrive early allowing for adequate time to park.
Free parking and shuttle service is available in G Lot off of University Boulevard, just north of Lomas Boulevard. For those parking at the Cornell Visitor Structure, located just south of Johnson Center, the event parking is $7. Visitors also have the option of parking in the Yale Parking Structure, located on the SE corner of Yale Boulevard and Las Lomas Boulevard, for $1.75/hour. Refer to the map for directions.
Those who drive to or park on campus may want to take a different route due to the congestion. Patrons should allow for extra travel time and plan accordingly.
