The UNM Global Education Office (GEO) is seeking applicants to participate in the 2018 International Festival on Thursday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will be held on UNM’s main campus at Cornell Mall east of the Student Union Building (SUB). GEO is seeking participation from student groups, community groups, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors and musical and artistic performers. Applications must be submitted online at geo.unm.edu by Friday, March 30.
“It is the one day where you can come to UNM and experience all of our international student services,” says UNM Student Desa Karye Daniel.
This academic year, UNM is home to 1,500 international students and scholars from more than 104 countries. International students and scholars are encouraged to share their culture through traditional clothing, food, music and crafts from their country of origin. The festival is an opportunity to highlight the global community at UNM and around Albuquerque in order to inspire greater cross-cultural awareness and understanding.
Be sure to sign up by Friday, March 30 to share cultural music, dance, art, or food from your country of origin. This event is free to attend and open to all members of the UNM and Albuquerque community.
The International Festival is sponsored by the UNM Global Education Office produced in collaboration with ASUNM Student Special Events (SSE). To participate in the event please fill in the online form at geo.unm.edu. Follow GEO on Facebook at Facebook.com/UNMglobal for updates.
