Information Technologies (IT), the Health Sciences Center (HSC) and UNM Hospitals (UNMH) will merge their GroupWise e-mail systems Friday, Nov. 5. The merge will require a period of intermittent downtime from Friday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. Users may experience one or more interruptions of service during this period. E-mail messages may be delayed during the periods of outage.

The merge will expand or enhance many features such as a single GroupWise Instant Messenger system, the ability to share address books and personal folders, simplified proxy access and faster Busy Searches between any UNM GroupWise users or resources across campus. Merging of the e-mail systems was also recommended by the UNM community to the e-mail, messaging and Calendaring Taskforce, as a low-cost and readily available change that will result in a more productive system for GroupWise users.
