LoboTHON, The University of New Mexico’s premiere student-run philanthropy organization, announced its 2017 Kickoff Week to promote LoboTHON awareness, LoboTHON’s Dance Marathon registration and fundraising.
“In just five years of being an organization on campus, LoboTHON’s impact has been widespread. Not only have we recruited hundreds of student and community leaders to be involved, we’ve raised nearly $150,000 in that time period to support New Mexico’s sole Children’s Miracle Network hospital, UNM Children’s Hospital,” said Aaron Ochoa, LoboTHON executive director. “We are excited to announce this year’s kickoff week as we set ambitious new goals for the organization.”
LoboTHON’s annual kickoff week will be held Monday, Oct. 2 through Thursday, Oct. 5. The kickoff week includes a fundraising goal reveal in the UNM SUB Atrium, an FTKarnival in collaboration with RHA and Chartwells outside La Posada Dining Hall, an awareness event in Smith Plaza and the first ever Cherry/Silver scrimmage along with UNM Athletics at Johnson Main Gym.
