Mary Clark, manager of UNM Facilities Management's Office of Sustainability, recently received the 2021 FM Outstanding Manager Award during the UNM All-Staff Meeting and Annual United Way Fundraiser. Current FM staff nominated Clark for the award, highlighting her strong support for the entire FM team.
In 2016, the Facilities Management (FM) Recognition Committee established the Outstanding Manager Award program to recognize FM managers who demonstrate outstanding leadership, customer service, promote a positive work environment, and contribute significantly to the success of their teams. Managers nominated for this award must excel in these areas.
As a skilled mentor, Clark supports staff advancement at every level and adds value to the FM team. In her role, she provides regular updates on State and University administrative policies and agendas. In addition, she provides her expertise in human resources and compensation to the hiring committee.
“You have displayed, through difficult circumstances, a level of work that we aspire to and you’ve helped keep the University and the department successful," FM Director Al Sena said when presenting the award to Clark,
Clark received a personalized plaque and a permanent wall plaque displayed in the Service Building.
