The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology will take part in the annual Hanging of the Greens on The University of New Mexico campus to celebrate the start of the holiday season. Everyone is invited to the Maxwell for this family-friendly event on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Visit the Maxwell galleries and courtyard filled with holiday music while enjoying free cookies and Mexican hot chocolate (while supplies last).
Visitors can also shop at the annual holiday sale at the Maxwell’s unique museum gift store and visit a special holiday photo booth in the courtyard to pose for a picture to take home as a free souvenir of the evening.
Join the entire campus walking tour, beginning at the UNM Bookstore at 5:30 pm or come directly to the Maxwell. Reservations are not required but are appreciated. Details are here.
The staff, students and volunteers at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology work together to study, preserve, partner, and present the human story from our origins more than 2.5 million years ago to today.
