If you aren’t afraid to get yourself dirty, UNM-Gallup is inviting you to challenge cleanliness and fitness all in support of students and the local community.

The Great Muddy Endurance Races are sponsored by UNM-Gallup in partnership with Rehoboth McKinley Health Care Services and Western Health Foundation. The races will take place on Saturday, July 22 at the Gallup OHV/MX Park. Participants can choose from the following race options:

  • Scenic Walk/Run: 8 a.m. 3 miles – all ages – $25
  • Great Muddy Sprint and Endurance Race: 10:30 a.m. – 3-mile course $50; 6-mile course $75.
  • Lil Muddy Monster: 3 p.m. – ages 10 and under – $10

A barbecue will follow the event from 4 to 6 p.m. with music and games. One meal ticket is included with each registration with additional tickets available for purchase.

All proceeds will go towards the Lions Hall Renovation Project and the Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services Wellness Center.

Lions Hall is the original building of the UNM-Gallup campus and will be renovated to house the Middle College High School which is an innovative charter school that allows students to simultaneously attend high school and college. 

The RMCHCS Well Center is a state of the art facility offering gold standard, evidence-based rehabilitation services to help individuals achieve maximum health and wellness.
