Are you a “building coordinator?” If so, the Physical Plant Department (PPD) is looking for you. PPD is conducting a building coordinator meeting every semester in order to educate and collaborate on a series of important facilities topics including: safety and emergency preparedness, building maintenance, how to place a work order and general facility management operations to name a few.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from 9 – 10:30 am in Dane Smith Hall (48) room 125. Building coordinators will be trained on basic emergency preparedness and response.
“We know that many building coordinators are also tasked with emergency preparedness and response functions, and therefore it is important for them to have this base-line training,” said University Emergency Manager Byron Piatt said.
There will also be presentations from UNM Human Resources and Lobo Energy, Inc.
"The Physical Plant Department is excited and motivated to engage this community and provide the needed resources to aid in the success of the UNM campus," PPD Director Mary Vosevich said.
