The UNM Alumni Association is inviting all Lobos — alums, students and community members — to the Lobo Living Room: Who is Safe in Cyberspace? on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Centennial Engineering Auditorium.

Emile Nakhleh, research professor and coordinator of National Security Programs at UNM, will kick off the evening with an overview of UNM's interdisciplinary cybersecurity programs. 

Deb Kuidis, manager of the UNM Industrial Security Department, will address how her department handles the safety and security of UNM’s students, faculty, staff and programs.

Chris Lamb, principal member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories and research assistant professor affiliated with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department will provide an overview of advanced persistent threats and how to keep yourself safe. 

All three presentations will be followed by a Q&A. Registration and reception begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by welcome and introductions at 6:10 p.m.
