With the upcoming general election,New Mexico in Focus continues a series of one-on-one interviews with the two candidates running for attorney general: Democrat Hector Balderas and Republican Susan Riedel. The panel discusses the Congressional District One debate airing this week on KNME between U.S. Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham and challenger Mike Frese.

The program airs Friday nights at 7 p.m. on channel 5.1 and appears online on the NMiF website shortly thereafter. The show rebroadcasts Saturday at 5 p.m. on channel 9.1. and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. on channel 5.1.

Host Gene Grant discovers some surprising facts about his personal history from Henry Louis Gates Jr., host of the popular PBS show “Finding Your Roots.” Grant also talks with three of New Mexico’s leading genealogists who shed more light on New Mexico’s unique history.
