Vice President of Student Affairs Cheo Torres has announced the names of the 2017 Student Affairs Fellows, who will begin a 15-month term this month. They include: Shannon Carr, Mary Jane Lueras, Matt Lumpp and Brandi Stone.
The program provides leadership experience not only for Student Affairs employees, but for all faculty and staff through opportunities to assist on special projects supporting one of UNM's largest divisions.
The 2017 Fellows
Shannon Carr, research scientist with the Center for Education Policy Research
Brandi Stone, senior student advisor for African American Student Services
Matthew Lumpp, student activities specialist with the Student Activities Center
Mary Jane Lueras, administrative assistant with Student Affairs STEM programs
The Student Affairs Fellows Program began in 1999 and has grown over the years with over 100 participants to date.
Benefits include networking with Student Affairs directors and departments as well as exposure to university-wide committees and meetings.
