Dr. Eliseo “Cheo” Torres, vice president for Student Affairs, is currently seeking applications from UNM employees—grades 8 to 14—for the 2019-2020 Student Affairs Fellowship cohort.

All professional staff within these grades are eligible to apply, however, top priority will be given to employees in the Division of Student Affairs. The fellowship program is a great opportunity to gain leadership and professional development skills while assisting the Vice President of Student Affairs on specific projects during a 15-month term.

Those interested can apply by submitting a 1 to 3-page personal statement to Natalie Brigance at natalieb@unm.edu discussing your career goals, motivation, interest in the program, how the program will benefit your education and/or career goals, and what skills have prepared you for the fellowship.  Applicants will also need to submit two letters of reference from UNM staff or administrators; and a consent letter from your current supervisor.

See the requirements for the Student Affairs Fellows Program on the Student Affairs website for all the details.  The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m.

The program also provides an opportunity for students to become Student Affairs fellows on a 12-month basis. Please visit the Student Affairs web page for all the details.
