Open Enrollment for The University of New Mexico Human Resources department is taking place on Wednesday, April 27 through Friday, May 13.

Open Enrollment is a chance for UNM employees to enroll in or make changes to their participation in UNM benefit plans, including:

  • Medical, dental and vision plans
  • Life insurance
  • Long-term disability
  • Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D)

The benefit changes made during Open Enrollment will take effect on July 1 of this year. Employees will not be able to make changes to their plan(s) after this period unless they experience a Qualifying Change of Status Event.

Important information will be mailed and send via email to UNM employees. Check the HR website for update information.

To give a general overview of options available during Open Enrollment, there will be information sessions beginning Friday, April 15 and ending Friday, May 6. See the Open Enrollment and VEBA Information Session 2016 document at this link.
