Parish Memorial Library will reduce its operating hours in 2020, effective at the start of the spring semester.
Library usage data shows an average of less than 10 people use the library after 6:00 p.m. For this reason, library administration decided to reduce weeknight hours. Parish Memorial Library will now be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the semester. Parish Library will remain closed on weekends, as before. Holiday exceptions to hours are noted on the library hours page.
Zimmerman Library – open until 2 a.m. on weeknights – will be available for students who need assistance or study space in the evening. Centennial Science and Engineering Library and the Fine Arts and Design Library will be open until 9 p.m. on weeknights, as usual. Weekend hours vary and can be found on the library hours page.
This closure does not affect access to online resources or availability of the online Ask a Librarian service. Library faculty and staff are committed to providing students with the assistance they need despite this reduction in library hours.
