Registration is now open for the Lobo Triathlon, Kids Race and Wellness Fair scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14.

The Lobo Triathlon is an annual running, biking and swimming event hosted by the UNM Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences (HESS) Department with seven divisions providing races for all ages.

Kids races are on Saturday, April 13. Transition opens at 7 a.m., and the races begin at 8 a.m. Children under 7 will run .25 miles, bike .25 miles and swim 25 yards. Children aged 7 to 10 years will run 1 mile, bike 1.5 miles and swim 100 yards. Children aged 11 to 15 years old will run 1.5 miles, bike 3 miles, and swim 200 yards.

On Sunday, April 14, adults will take to the various courses. Transition is open from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. with the race beginning at 7:30 a.m. Adults will run a 5K, bike a 20K, and swim 400M.

UNM staff and faculty are eligible for tuition remission. There are also discounts for UNMH and CNM staff and faculty. For more information on discounts and tuition remission contact lobotri@unm.edu for details.
