The UNM School of Architecture and Planning hosts an assembly and colloquium, Friday, Aug. 27 beginning with a visioning by Dean Geraldine Forbes Isais at 2 p.m. in the Pearl Hall Auditorium.
At 2:30 p.m., Levi Romero, graduate of the UNM architecture program and the school's poet laureate, will discuss his work as designer and research scholar.
At 3:30 p.m., Jose Gamez, associate professor and coordinator, University of North Carolina, Charlotte's Arts + Architecture Center for Design + Society, presents slides and a lecture, followed by faculty discussion.
At 5 p.m. Frances Bronet, dean, University of Oregon School of Architecture + Allied Arts, leads a discussion on innovation in design, research and economic development.
The afternoon culminates with a reception at 6 p.m. in the Pearl Hall Courtyard. The event includes entertainment by members of the Yjastros Dance Company.
