Homecoming season is blowing in at The University of New Mexico, including the return of Silent Lights – a student favorite.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic UNM could not put on an in-person Lobo Homecoming in 2020, but all the fun is returning to campus in 2021.
Brought to UNM in 2016 by The Associated Students of UNM (ASUNM), Lobo Spirit, Student Special Events, and University Communication and Marketing (UCAM), Silent Lights is a fun twist on a traditional homecoming dance.
This silent disco party will consist of six DJs and three stages. Rather than being played aloud through speakers, students will be handed light-up headphones that can be tuned into different channels corresponding to different DJs.
This year’s Silent Lights takes place on Friday, Nov. 5, from 7 to 10 p.m. in Johnson Main Gym through the east entrance.
This student event is free. Students must have a UNM ID to enter.
