ASUNM Community Experience hosts its annual Spring Storm event this weekend, followed by the Fiestas outdoor concert.

Countless students, staff and faculty from The University of New Mexico will participate in the one-day Spring Storm service project on Saturday, April 8. The event is a fun way to give back to Albuquerque through a massive volunteer force. The day starts at University stadium, where breakfast is provided. Then everyone heads out to service projects across Albuquerque. After three and half hours of work, participants gather at Johnson field for lunch, prizes, fun and Student Special Events “Fiestas”.

Fiestas is UNM’s largest arts and music festival and has been a staple in Albuquerque entertainment for more than 50 years. This year, the festival will be bigger and better than ever, hosting internationally acclaimed acts, interactive art and novelty. Ten musical artists across a wide range of genres are on tap, including Gramatik, Skizzy Mars, Naked Giants, Vista Kicks and Burque Sol. The first band hits the stage on Jonson Field at 12:45 p.m. on April 8. Fiestas is free to the public.
