Staff Council postpones precinct elections

In light of the continued calls for social distancing, UNM Staff Council is postponing 2020 Precinct Elections and is canceling several other events.

“We will attempt to reschedule elections for the soonest possible week after UNM returns to normal operations,” wrote Ryan Gregg, Staff Council President, in an email to staff. “Depending on further guidance regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m hopeful that we will still seat new Staff Council representatives in May, as scheduled.”

Gregg made the decision with the support of the Staff Council Executive Committee. In addition, Staff Council canceled the “Let’s Do Lunch” Cancer Center tour and the Staff as Students event.

“Read to Me Bookdrive” is discontinuing collections and collection sites are asked to please hold what they currently have until pickup can be organized at a later date.
