The Staff Council Student Success Committee hosts the bi-annual Staff as Students event on Monday, April 10 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the SUB, Ballroom A & B.
Staff as Students is an event where the UNM Staff Council makes the registration process available to staff before it is opened up to other students at UNM. This gives staff the opportunity to register early and speak with advisors from their degree-seeking department.
At the event, staff helps staff by providing services regarding: admission, registration, tuition remission benefit, and advisement in one convenient location.
Staff can learn about degree programs, distance education, personal and professional development options, as well as network with their colleagues across campus. Application fees are waived and paperwork processing is expedited.
Staff can learn about the Education Benefit Program and how to take advantage of it to develop both academically and professionally. Representatives from admissions, bursar, registrar and many academic advisors from various colleges, schools and departments will be on hand to talk to individuals, one on one.
Staff can speak with a representative from:
- Office of Admissions
- Bursar’s Office
- Office of the Registrar
- Center for Academic Program
- Support (CAPS)
- Continuing Education
- Employee & Organizational
- Development (EOD)
- Children’s Campus
- Office of Graduate Studies
- And more...
