The UNM Student Fee Review Board (SFRB) is now accepting applications for the FY 2020-2021 budget recommendation process. UNM departments seeking funding from student fees are encouraged to submit completed applications by the Sept. 6 deadline.
SFRB is composed of undergraduate and graduate representatives who evaluate each application and allocate student fees accordingly among the departments that have applied. These fees support a wide variety of student activities that allow students to have an enhanced college experience at UNM.
The board members allocate approximately $12 million of student fees throughout the university. In last year’s process, over 30 university departments applied for funding through the SFRB process. This year GPSA President Muhammad Afzaal Hussain will serve as the board’s chair with ASUNM President Adam Biederwolf serving as vice-chair.
ASUNM and GPSA encourage all UNM students to take part in this process by attending forums, deliberations, and various hearings in order to gain insight at how their fees are spent. As UNM’s
student governments, we want students to be involved in the process to share their ideas and opinions so that SFRB can prioritize and maximize the student’s college experience.
