The Associated Students of the University of New Mexico’s Lobo Spirit hosts its fourth annual Neon Skate Down on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Student Union Building Ballrooms.

Neon Skate Down will be held in partnership with UNM Greek Life as a part of the annual Greek Week. Greek Week is held to celebrate the spirit of the Greek community. More than 20 sorority and fraternity organizations gather in the name of service, friendly competition, fun and achievement.

With a Lobo ID, students are able to rent skates for free on a first come first serve basis. Last year, more than 200 students gathered for three hours in the Student Union Building Ballrooms to skate, eat and spend time with friends. This year, Lobo Spirit is expecting just as many students—if not more.

"I am excited to see the collaboration between Greek Life and ASUNM Lobo Spirit,” says Greek Week Trivia Chair Jacob Silva. “I think it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the fun of Greek Week with my non-greek friends.”

This year students can expect a wide variety of music, food and lots of blacklights. For more information about future Lobo Spirit events, follow their Instagram @asunmlobospirit.
