The University of New Mexico Bookstores announces the launch of an enhanced course materials adoption tool for faculty: RedShelf Manager 2.0. Set to be implemented in April 2025, this updated tool will be available to faculty at Albuquerque, Taos, and Valencia campuses. It is designed to improve the adoption process, streamline faculty workflows, and increase transparency for students.
RedShelf Manager 2.0 will enhance faculty experience by increasing efficiency in the adoption process and reducing the time from submission to pricing disclosure and material availability for students. Beginning in the fall 2025 term, students will benefit from a consolidated location for all course materials and an easy cascading opt-out system to access what they need for academic success.
To support faculty in utilizing RedShelf Manager 2.0, UNM Bookstores and RedShelf have scheduled a virtual faculty adoption training session via Zoom on April 1 at Noon via Zoom, ID: 86252245840; passcode: 196785. Call-in: (US) +1 309-205-3325; passcode: 196785.
Faculty Adoptions Training Session Overview:
- Introduction to RedShelf Adoptions
- Logging into RedShelf Manager
- Search and filter capabilities
- How to adopt materials for course sections (individually and in bulk)
- Finding adoptions and designating material format and edition preferences

Faculty who are unable to attend the live session will have access to a recording, ensuring they can review key training content at their convenience.
To further assist faculty, weekly office hours with the RedShelf team will be available every Friday from April 11 through May 2 at 10 a.m. During these sessions, faculty members can receive individualized support and ask questions about the adoption process.
Faculty can expect direct communication from the UNM Bookstores with details on how to access the training, future recordings and office hour sessions.
