The University of New Mexico’s newest student housing complex, Casas del Rio, is the recipient of an Eagle Award presented recently at the annual Awards of Excellence luncheon by NAIOP, the commercial real-estate development association. All 11 winners were selected by a panel of local judges.

Casas del Rio is owned by UNM and American Campus Communities (ACC), the nation's premier builder and manager of modern, academically-oriented student housing. Casas del Rio consists of four three- and four-story buildings housing 1,028 beds for students, plus amenities not usually associated with dorm living.
