UNM Global Education Office (GEO) is coordinating an International Education Week (IEW) from Nov. 15-19. The events are held in celebration of global exchange benefits and is an opportunity for students to make international connections.

IEW is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of State. Annually in November, the initiative celebrates international education. During this time, IEW welcomes students from abroad and prepares American students for travel.

GEO at UNM facilitates international links, cultural exchange and the development of international expertise. They facilitate study and working abroad opportunities, international recruitment and admissions, international immigration and orientation services, and intensive English language programs.

GEO coordinates many local IEW events including La Posada Featured Food, Nationalities Exchange Dialogue (N.E.D) Talks, Virtual World Tour, Study Abroad Fair and more.

Those interested in a complete lineup of events can view the GEO event calendar. To help with events, volunteers can sign up with the IEW volunteer signup form.

Updates are available on GEO’s Facebook and Instagram.
