The UNM Heath Sciences Student Council hosts Fit 4 Fun 5K fundraiser for the UNM Healthy and Fit Children’s Clinic on Oct. 27.

The Fit 4 Fun 5k is organizaed by the UNM Health Sciences Student Council to raise funds for the patients of the UNM Healthy and Fit Children's Clinic. Children who are seen at this clinic either have a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than the 85th percentile or are pre-diabetic.

The funds raised will be directly allocated towards scholarships for these kids to attend summer camps where they will learn about nutrition, exercise and wellness. The hope is to help establish a culture of healthy living and wellness among the youth in the communities of New Mexico.

Parking will be available in the UNM School of Law parking lot, in addition to M Lot across the street. Restrooms are available to the public at the North Campus Golf Course Pro Shop.

There is a $250 cash prize for first place in both the male and female divisions. Second and third place in both divisions receive gift cards to sporting goods stores. Additionally, more prizes will be raffled off.

Registration is $20. To register visit Fit for Fun 5K.
