The speakers for this session will be Chris Cornelius, Chair of Architecture at UNM School of Architecture and Planning, and Tyler Patrick, Principal Planner at Sasaki (an Integrated Campus Plan Consultant).

The ICP is a comprehensive plan that will guide the long-term development of all UNM’s campuses. It will include a set of strategies and recommendations for improving various aspects of each campus, such as infrastructure, buildings, open spaces, and mobility. The ICP aims to enhance the quality of life on campus and create a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive university community. The plan seeks to create a more sustainable, accessible, and inclusive campus that fosters innovation and collaboration.

The events will feature experts in the fields of community and regional planning, landscape architecture, and architecture, who will discuss topics related to the ICP's key themes: campus and community, campus connectivity, and campus character.

Moises Gonzales, chair of Community and Regional Planning at UNM School of Architecture and Planning will speak on the campus and community interface. Katya Crawford, chair of Landscape Architecture at UNM School of Architecture and Planning, will discuss landscape connectivity, mobility, and parking. Chris Cornelius, chair of Architecture at UNM School of Architecture and Planning, will speak on the design and character of open space, placemaking, and buildings.

The events provide an opportunity for the UNM community and the public to engage in discussions about the ICP and provide feedback on the plan's proposals. The university encourages members of the community to attend and participate in shaping the future of UNM.
