Every year, The University of New Mexico hosts Welcome Back Days to usher in a new semester, and even though it's a new year, 2025 is no different, with events and activities set to broaden the scope of any new and returning students’ campus experiences.
The UNM Student Activities Center is hosting this Spring’s Welcome Back Days from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB) Atrium.
The first Welcome Back Day, Jan. 22, 2025, will center around UNM departments and Greek organizations. Students can head to the SUB Atrium to soak in some information about fraternities, sororities, and departments and their offerings and services.
Those interested in Greek life can visit tabling events and get involved with fellow Lobos. Some Greek organizations are looking for new members and will be available to answer questions about how to join a fraternity or sorority.
The second Welcome Back Day is on Jan. 29 and will highlight the various student organizations on campus. UNM has over 450 chartered student organizations for new or returning Lobos to join.
Keep an eye out for any groups that pique your interest. Groups will be on hand to provide information about how to join and get involved. Student organizations are a great way to improve your UNM experience, build leadership skills, and build your resume, all while having fun.
UNM departments and student organizations are invited to sign up for tables on their respective event day.
