The University of New Mexico Student Union Building (SUB) is celebrating 20 years since its rebuild in 2003. That’s 20 years of events, activities, programs, and community building at one of UNM’s most popular student centers since its renovation! Join the SUB for “When Pigs Fly.”
This three day celebration is chock-full of captivating events, free food, giveaways, and general celebration for the past and future of the center beginning on Aug. 29 at 12 p.m. at the SUB Atrium.
On Aug. 29 from 12 to 2 p.m., try your hand at a game of “Pin the Wings on the Pig” and some trivia! There will be a rather “fitting” 20th Anniversary shirt giveaway and a live band to top off the day.
On Aug. 30 from 12 to 2 p.m., enter into a coloring book giveaway, join in on the cookie decorating festivities and make a Pig Plate and listen to a live DJ!
On Aug. 31 from 12 to 2 p.m., there will be a giveaway for SUB-shaped stress balls, a photo booth and live Mariachi. Bring a donation to the Lobo Food Pantry fundraiser and win a free cup! Lobo Louie and Lobo Lucy will make appearances as well.
All of the activities are to benefit SUB student scholarships. To donate, visit the scholarship link here.
