One of the upcoming workshops offered at Student Health and Counseling is “Rewriting Your Brain for Positivity,” a program designed to help students think in a positive way and avoid stress and other negativity.

The workshop is set for Oct. 28 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at SHAC on the second floor in room 234. Here, students will learn how to pay attention to the present, how to make positive patterns in your brain to avoid negativity, and how to break out of the negative loop.

The workshop is free and open to all students. To sign up online visit shac.unm.edu

SHAC hopes that this workshop will help students in their learning environments by teaching them techniques to use in their everyday lives to accomplish overall happiness. They also hope to help students better understand how their brains work and give them the knowledge to rewire their brains in a positive way.

SHAC is located on UNM Main Campus across from the SUB.
