For 15 years Bruce Smith has taught positive psychology at The University of New Mexico to more than 4,000 students and now he's created a workbook containing some of the same material he uses in his course to help make 2021 a better year for everyone.

Positive Psych

The new positive psychology workbook is free and available to everyone. Positive psychology has been defined as the science of happiness and what makes life worth living. Smith, associate professor within UNM's Department of Psychology, recently published an article showing that students in the positive psychology class had significant increases in happiness and well-being relative to UNM students taking other classes.

Smith is also a co-founder of the Center for Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) in New Mexico - a group of community leaders working to make the benefits of positive psychology as widely available as possible. Last year, Smith along with the help of CAPP, developed the positive psychology workbook. The workbook includes 24 chapters with lessons, access to videos and the most beneficial and effective activities for increasing happiness, well-being and resilience.

Individuals can download the workbook for free or purchase a hard copy on Amazon.
