The Office of the University Secretary is seeking volunteers for the 2022 Spring Commencement ceremony. The ceremony takes place on Saturday, May 14 at 9 a.m. in University Arena (The Pit).

“What better way to see the impact of all your hard work, why you work at UNM and why you continue; than seeing the smiles, hearing the cheers, and seeing the thousands of robes that signify success and accomplishment of everyone at UNM. I love it!" – Cindy Mason,  commencement volunteer and unit administrator for UNM Student Affairs.

There are a variety of volunteer positions available, many of which will not last all morning. Volunteers must attend one volunteer meeting before the event and will be thanked later with a fall luncheon.

There are many inspiring grads from current and previous ceremonies. Signup and graduation event information can be found on UNM’s graduation website.

“I would highly encourage volunteering for any UNM events,” Mason said. “There are so many opportunities to not only meet new people but also to network, to get involved, and to experience something new.”
