This week on New Mexico in Focus, Gene Grant sits down with Albuquerque Public Schools superintendent Winston Brooks about the recent Great City Schools Conference held in Albuquerque, the turmoil among teachers over the state Public Education Department’s evaluation system, parental engagement and his ideas on how to address the achievement gap among students.

New Mexico in Focus airs Friday night at 7 p.m. on Channel 5.1 and appears online at NMiF shortly thereafter. The show rebroadcasts Saturday at 5 p.m. on Channel 9.1 and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. on Channel 5.1.
