The UNM Alumni Association in partnership with UNM School of Medicine is inviting Lobo alumni and community members to the Lobo Living Room: Live Longer, Be Happy—Protect Your Heart.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Domenici Center Auditorium on UNM’s north campus. Registration and reception begin at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. in room 1220.

UNM School of Medicine Dr. David Schade and Dr. Philip Eaton will discuss heart disease, the #1 killer in the U.S. Most people do not realize heart disease is preventable. A good, non-invasive, inexpensive test is available to check your heart status.

If you have “hardening of your heart arteries,” you can reverse this problem with some simple approaches. Schade and Eaton will review all of these positive steps so heart disease does not interfere with your livelihood. The hope is that this Lobo Living Room saves lives.

RSVP by Wednesday, Nov. 15 by visiting the Alumni website. For additional information, contact the Alumni Relations Office at 505-277-5808 or alumni@unm.edu.
