This week on New Mexico in Focus, correspondent Gwyneth Doland dives into the finances surrounding legalized and medical cannabis with a financial market analyst, a tax expert, and an owner of a medical cannabis dispensary.

Additionally, Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss prospects for the Public Education Department now that Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed a new cabinet secretary and leadership team.

Also on the schedule, The Line delves into the cannabis issue in light of Ultra Health’s lawsuit against the state, seeking a refund of gross-receipts taxes it says it shouldn’t have paid, as it provides medicinal marijuana. The Line also debates abortion and aid-in-dying bills that are making their way through the legislature.
